Weekend Snapshot, Five Years Apart

One of my favorite things about living in California is having the perfect weather for family walks year round (the first photo is from today, the bottom one is from 2008 when our five year old daughter was a newborn):

I adore these photos of my sweet husband holding our babies.

By the way, we ADORE our new Baby K’tan carrier way more than the Moby Wrap. (Thank you to Jake for the awesome present!) There’s no going back once you find a baby carrier you and the newborn both love.

The upside to getting a new phone is that I can now Instagram again! HOORAY! I’m so in love with the app that we’ll be posting baby photos over there (and on our Facebook page) first.

Here’s a glimpse at the kind of photos I typically post:

I can’t imagine why she’s so tired today. She only stayed up until 10pm last night reading independently in bed. SIGH.

Instagram Love

Just what I need, another internet addiction. Instagram has finally come to Android and, oh boy, do I love it!

My photos have been home based so far since we’ve been under quarantine for the past week with colds. The good news is that we’re FINALLY feeling better, so our pictures should be, well, a little bit more exciting soon. (Hey, I’ll do my best!)

My Instagram photos are also posting to Twitter. Unfortunately I can’t yet post directly to our Facebook page, but hopefully the next Instagram Android update will include a feature for that!

Every Day is Opposite Day in Our House

Ah, life with a toddler.

Our three year old refused to try these delicious apple and cottage cheese pancakes from Mollie Katzen’s classic Moosewood Cookbook that’s she’s eaten and loved before, just because she knows I want her to eat them.

So I said, “Don’t eat them! Don’t take a bite! Don’t even think about it!”

And sure enough she gobbled them up!

Sigh.

Hey, at least I know it (sometimes) works, right?!
