Story Time with Miss Leyba

Please join us for story time!

Miss Leyba loves reading her books aloud! Not only does she like to sit in our laps for story time, but she frequently reads aloud to herself (and to anyone else who will listen!). She is especially partial to reading in bed, something David and I are quite fond of too.

Since we read to her every day, and often read the same books over and over again at her request, she has several favorites memorized (such as Goodnight Moon, The Hungry Caterpillar, and I’m as Quick as a Cricket); here are two others for your enjoyment.

We could read and discuss books all day.

Oh, yeah, we frequently do.

What books are you enjoying right now?

  1. Aww, I miss you guys!! Too cute! Thank you so much for posting these. *grin*

I had “Goodbye Boston” and “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” stuck in my head all week.

Sending lots of hugs! :-* mmmwaa!

  2. I would like to say (again!) that you are the best mom ever!! Miss Leyba has already developed such an amazing love of books and the vocabulary to show it! It’s such a great moment when she asks to sit in your lap–reading is so clearly a valued and shared time in your family.

  3. I just loved hearing Miss Leyba reading her books!! Especially loved the rhythm of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, etc!! She really knows and loves her books! I am so thrilled! You have done such a great job reading to her from Day 1! Gosh, she knows so much about the world from her books! xoxo
