Postcards from Monterey

My parents are visiting us from the East Coast, so this past week we headed south to Carmel, Pacific Grove, Monterey, and Moss Landing. We greatly enjoyed our wildlife encounters at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and in the Elkhorn Slough and Pacific Grove Monarch Sanctuary:

  1. Okay, what is the critter between the sea lions and the jellyfish? It looks like an aardvark crossed with a seahorse.

  2. What a blast, those are some fantastic pictures!!!

  3. Your photography here is absolutely stunning. The ones with Miss Leyba observing the jellyfish are amazing, even just in the way you chose the angles. The others are fantastic, too — incredibly clear and beautifully shot in terms of the light. We love the Monterey Bay Aquarium! Looks like you all had a great visit together.

  4. All your pictures are so beautiful!
We want to visit there again.

  5. carrie, these photos are absolutely breathtaking!!

  7. How other-worldly and exciting! I want to go the Aquarium!
